As many of you may be aware the demolition and construction of UTS Haberfield Rowers has commenced and is likely to continue for about 9months. A map is below of the works area.
This will affect all Bay Run users as it will mean that this area will be trafficked with ‘Stop/Go’ signs, to allow truck movements in and around that area. They are there for ours and all users safety, so please be courteous and accept this for the time being.
The general work times when “Stop/Go” will be in operation are (which may be subject to change) –
Monday to Friday – 7am to 6pm
Saturday – 7am to 1pm
Sunday & Public Holidays – NO WORKS
So if you are wanting to do your regular, uninhibited race round the bay, please do it outside the times when there will not be controllers in place. If you do want to do your run at times when it will be controlled, be prepared to stop around the area.
Goes without saying, that if you are asked to stop, please do as you’re told. They are there for your safety for something that we’ll just have to put up with for the time being.
It may mean that the Handicap Events times and may be even the start location will need to be altered, but we’ll advise of that in due course!
